The rain in Spain...

No, we're not in Spain, but the rain has been falling....not on the plain, as in the song from My Fair Lady, but on the mountains! So why mention Spain? Because I found that our Escallonias (2 species whose names I've lost) got their name from Senor Escallon, a Spanish traveller who discovered them in Columbia in the 19th (some say 18th) century. And since they're blooming their hearts out, I figured they deserved a blip!
