Whiteout!

Woke just after 6, way to bright in the bedroom, poked my head out, and this is what greeted me!! Just what we needed with a morning appointment looming. However, it did look absolutely beautiful in the bue hour.

We got ourselves together, porridge for brekkie, I cleared the car of snow, had to use the snow shovel to reach the centre of the windscreen and the roof, wish I was a bit taller, but it did a good job!

We left, giving ourselves an hour for a 38min journey. One or two idiots on the roads, resulted in a hold up on the M6 for 10 mins or so....then onto the M56, another "incident" which turned out to be a snowplough clearing the fast lane! No sign of any gritters having been out last night! Anyhow we made hubs bloods appointment with 10 mins to spare.
I waited in the car until he called to say he was all done.......hes a bit apprehensive about his second cycle tomorrow, as his first cycle was done as an inpatient, but they reassured him today that there will be plenty of support on hand tomorrow.....just hope this snow doesn't freeze overnight, as we need to be away for 07.30!!

Cheesy beans on toast for lunch when we got home....having stopped off to collect a much missed Costa and a newspaper ;-)

The afternoon has drifted by doing bits and bobs......prepared his bag of goodies and drinks, a book and a crossword puzzle book to,pass the time during tomorrows session, 4-6 hours. I think I will be coming home and going back once he's finished his infusion.

Hope you don't mind me being "open" about what's going on in our lives at the moment
I find it helps me, putting everything down on paper so to speak :-)

Dinner this evening is going to be a flash fried fillet steak in a glaze probably in a sandwich fries and side salad for hub, I'll probably have a jacket potato with mine.

Hope we can relax this evening and sleep ok.....somehow I doubt it, but you never know!!
