Slippery under foot-Watching the birdies #15

After our early night, we were awake when the noisy bin was emptied fortunately...guess we had 8 hours overall, although we were awake 12/3/6..... no particular reason, just how it is at the mo.

Freezing fog today, and the soft slushy snow is now thick hard nobbly ice, which proved hard to scrape listening to our neighbours whilst we lay in bed all toasty ;-)

Hubs feeling ok after day 1 thankfully, Nurse Sue has dispensed his day 2 chemo meds today.....his appetite is still fine, homemade chicken & veg soup with a buttered roll for an early lunch followed by a slice of fruit cake and a nice cuppa ;-)

Whilst in the kitchen I noticed Mr Blackbird had sent his Missus to check on us today.
I rewarded her by pouring some warm water in the bird bath to melt the ice and refilled the little dish with some fresh fat soaked bread and sultanas.

We won't be venturing out for the next few days, its far too cold and slippery, plus hub needs to be so careful....a quiet new years eve for us no doubt.....praying the new year has something good in store, for everyone!

We have spent most of this afternoon catching up on things we had recorded a while back.....and we have just watched the Royal Variety Show....it was pretty good. Hubs got into watching the Darts on TV lately, thats whats on now ;-)

Dinner tonight is going to be pork steak, egg, and probably chips and peas.

A very lazy day, but we do need it.......not sure whats on tv tonight, am sure we will find something to watch....if we can stay awake ;-)

More reasons to stay safe than ever over the coming weeks blipfriends, tougher Tiers coming in by the sounds of things..... which is definitely much needed, imho.
