Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2020 Thursday — The End of 2020

The last day of the year has finally arrived. This has been a long long year. I have read many posts on social media with people explaining that they can’t wait for this year to be extinguished, but I learned quite sometime ago that time moves too quickly, so I try to value each day and not wish it away.

So we moved slowly thru this day — had a long leisurely morning, slept-in a little and lounged around, ate breakfast late morning, then showered and dressed, and prepared an envelope to be mailed, and headed for the post office and then to Tidelands Park to walk pups (it was windy and cold so a brief walk and back to the car), then a stop at the hardware store so Mr. Fun could buy paint because he’s going to build a model car, then a stop at Spencer’s Market to get eggs and a few items, and then to our warm cozy home to watch the sunset.

We were in bed by 11:00, but we both read for a while and I finally turned off the light at 11:58. I did not hear one firecracker at midnight. It was not a celebration, but a good riddance!

Good night from the coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
