Picnic at Hanging Rock

The picnic was in fact at Vauban's water cistern high above the fortified garrison town of Villefranche, a World Heritage site. It was a pleasant walk up along the ridge separating the two valleys (see extra), once again to meet with friends climbing up from different villages for a picnic. I did not stay up to see in 2021 but I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hope that things will progressively get easier and eventually return to some sort of normality.
