still standing

I don't know how long this fencepost has stood by the old railway line, but it  has weathered beautifully.

I went for two walks today, just round our local area, one on the roads and the other up into still-snowy fields. We are so fortunate to be able to get out and about and I never take it for granted.

Bitterly cold again, with a clear sky and a beautiful sunset. I did look for Quadrantids last night but the moon was too bright so I might try again this evening before it rises.

I've made a Festive Nut Roast for tea, using the recipe from Christmas Day. We still can be festive in January, and it's a Bank Holiday here tomorrow :-)
