We refuse

We don't understand it.

This year of all years people have been switching off their Christmas lights many days earlier than usual, not even waiting for Twelfth Night.

We have decided to leave our Christmas Tree in place and the lights on as soon as it gets dark each afternoon.

We have no spare (replacement) bulbs for the tree lights so if the lights fail we will take that as a time to give up and only then as long as we are in a lockdown.

Today I drank a whisky ( I gave up being a drinker years ago so this is worthy of note).  Dad died 3 years ago during this night and for the first time it seems like a long time ago.
