Suspended Animation
With the cold weather continuing, crocus and other bulbs that have been emerging in milder weather are now marking time, their progress temporarily suspended. There's still beauty to be found.
Jamie's been having trouble at night with his gallstones so after a third disrupted night's sleep in the last four, the day started slowly. I popped in to work to see my boss who has some redecorating jobs lined up for me, then walked Meg on down to the bakery for some fresh bread. Assorted admin and tidying followed and some time playing games on Jamie's Switch this afternoon. Tim came in later on and Jamie spent much of the session baking a couple of new recipes from a book he was given. No surprise the chocolate sandwich biscuits with marshmallow filling are delicious! A cinnamon brioche loaf will be baked in the morning, the mixture rests in the fridge overnight.
While they were busy I did some cleaning at work and later joined a zoom meeting of the AGS Shropshire group (my nearest local group) to hear a talk on Erythroniums by a Scottish friend of mine. It was good but post prandial fatigue almost got the better of me ...... zzzz! :-)
