Amaryllis

My Christmas present from son D. is coming into bloom, a deep rich red. It's a Brazilian variety, which apparently can be planted in the garden after blooming is done and will grow baby bulbs. How exciting!

We're daring to hope what we never could've predicted a few weeks ago. The Georgia run-offs are today and could carry huge consequences. D. barrels out of his room every few minutes to update us.

Another chilly gray day but I don't mind. That said, it really might as well snow!
