........... this made me smile as I sat in my car waiting for it to warm up this morning on my way to pick up a click and collect grocery order............ that chimney sweep has a sense of humour ;-))
The Boo saga continues.......... this morning he was no better and still not eating, then the vet phoned to say they didn’t get a large enough sample for the lab to identify the cause and as he still wasn’t eating or drinking, wanted to book him in tomorrow for a general anaesthetic and a nasal wash to get a better sample.
We went to hell and back last time he had an anaesthetic only 5 weeks ago so we really didn’t want him to have another one.......... time for some tough love ........... after another difficult extraction from under the bed the bedroom door was closed and we have been feeding him small amounts with a syringe approx every hour throughout the day - he absolutely hates it and my arm is shredded from his claws. We’ve been getting a little food down him but it’s really hard because he’s so snuffly and struggles to breathe through his nose. We haven’t booked him in yet and the vet said she would phone again tomorrow to see how he is.
I don’t think he will eat for himself until his nose is clear because smell is everything to a cat, it’s how they know they’re not eating something bad, so I guess we’ll be feeding with a syringe again tomorrow .......... I just hope he starts to look a bit brighter tomorrow now he’s getting a little nourishment ;-)
...........in other news
............. we also have a leaky roof .......... what a rubbish year already and it’s only mid January ;-((
