Booted

Tweedy's blip yesterday reminded me I had a pair of wellington boots squirreled away. I'd bought them for gardening but decided I preferred  old birkenstock clogs. However  these do not work when the snow lies deep (if not crisp and even). T dug them out for me and so I have been able to traipse around the garden, including taking coffee grounds and vegetable peelings to the compost bin and bringing in the (rubbish) bins which were collected today despite yesterday's nice.

The roads had been cleared yesterday and the extra shows the pavement being cleared. I am really impressed by Perth & Kinross Council efforts in keeping roads and paths clear.

I have a new cake recipe to try this afternoon (almond and orange loaf cake) and I will also make rolls for tomorrow's bacon sandwiches.

This evening we have "tickets" to see a timed broadcast of Sunset Boulevard in Concert  by  Curve Theatre, Leicester which I am looking forward to. We may even go out to T's studio in the garden (now that I have found my wellies) to watch it , should be fun.

Have a lovely weekend all.
