Empty woodshed

We've burnt all the wood delivered on 4th Dec - and a little bit more.  I had to get a couple of sacks of emergency supplies from the farm shop, because when we booked a delivery, our woodman couldn't get to us till today.

At least we had better weather today for stacking it all away.

After we took the last delivery, we read about the significant pollution problems caused by wood burners, and discussed the fact that we should maybe try to avoid using ours.  Arachne summarises the current thinking well in this blip.  BUT our underfloor heating is closed off at the moment in case it is that which is causing our damp wall, and we have to wait until late February, when the builder can come and take our wall apart to find out for certain what is causing the problem.  And there is no other heating in our living room.  And I'm sorry to say that we do really like a real fire!

In other news - W had to go into Norwich today to see the optician, and found himself quite flummoxed by the huge choice of parking space in the Forum car park.  Apart from a couple of brief trips in to Norwich in August, to visit a jeweller, we have neither of us been near the City since March.  W found it eerily quiet - photo of the Forum in extras.
