What a grey day!

For the oldies cue Larry Grayson flashbacks :-) The weather has been miserable today. Our village is very close to two BIG rivers and so flooding (especially for the bottom of the village) is often a real possibility. When I went for my walk yesterday the streams / ditches were definitely running high. Thankfully I don’t think there is going to be serious flooding here but there are som serious flood warnings out for surrounding counties and across the country.
I left the house only to pick up my click and collect food order and then it was back inside to do some school prep.

The flowers are a gift to my sis the other day.

As I sit here ready to watch the US presidential inauguration I am forever thankful that our political system is so different! It’s not perfect by any means (hence having our own numpty still in power!) but we have yet to fall into the depths that the US has of its now previous presidency. I am by my very nature a political animal and a socialist one at that. But over the last 4 years I have been generally concerned and appalled by the ignorance, bigotry and all round stupidity of Trump and I don’t necessarily think that’s my socialism talking!
One can only hope and pray that Biden and the Democratic Party as a whole can heal some of the divides that still exist and that they can drive some of the much needed changes that are needed from the US.
