Snowdrops, of course
Just five days ago was the first time this year that I had seen our snowdrops - and at the time, they were barely visible white buds. It's amazing how quickly they have developed. We now have a good sprinkling of fully open flowers, along with a few winter aconites for contrast, in the area that is our developing woodland. I've put a more general view in extras, as a record shot. Still a long way to go to develop into the carpets that one sees in more mature woodland, but it's a good start. None of the clumps are yet big enough to be worth digging up and splitting, but we ordered some more in the green from one of the mail order nurseries when they were on special offer earlier in the winter, to plant in the spring.
Otherwise, the etui is progressing slowly. Tomorrow I shall start to sew some of the pieces together - so you may have to put up with another needlework blip!
Since it's Friday, and this is a flower, I'll tag it for Flower Friday - thanks to Biker Bear for hosting.
