A simple Lightbox
Take a cat, any cat, you will need a dark background, at some time.
Warm a plastic box. Use tin-snips or garden secateurs to cut one plastic side off. Be careful, the plastic is sharp, if it's cold it may shatter.
Extras
Roughly measure and cut double sided sticky tape for carpets. Cut a piece of velvet to fit. Messy!
Place the sticky tape in place, bend it over the edges. Use a piece of the shiny backing to pat the tape into position. Drape the velvet into position and use many wee sweary words as it gets stuck and caught. When in place trim the edges roughly and drape another piece of velvet from the rear top edge to cover the absolute horlicks you made earlier.
Try it. The velvet soaks up light and gives a pleasant dark background to tiny objects d'art and cats.
Last step. Reacquaint yourself with the hoover and clear up; also use lighter fluid or white spirit to remove the sticky gunge and bits of material from the boss' scissors.
Real last step, bless the Ethereal Adobe gods for creating the smoothing brushes in Lightroom and Photoshop which will cover the bits you screwed up. Mwah mwah, group hug! Bugger, we burst the bubble.
