Overflowing

We took a detour from our one outing a week (to M&S Food in Penrith - we know how to live!) and called in at Wet Sleddale. We felt that the reservoir would be overflowing and it was. The wall of water flowing over the dam and into the River Lowther is always a spectacle. Of course I should have had a person in red on the bridge in front of the water to make the iconic image, but my only suitable candidate was not wearing red and neither could he find a way of getting onto the bridge!!

It is funny how guilty we felt about actually heading off in the car, parking in a car park and walking out, even though we were not far from home and there was no one else about. 

Update on our Broadband
They are digging - cables have arrived - they may be 2 miles off the village, but we are assured that they are on track. They are digging - we have seen them!
