Still on Travel reminders as I found these two little badges in a container in my room. Of course they came from Canada and it was our first trip to the country many years ago now.

We flew from the UK to Vancouver and arriving in the evening at our hotel, we had something to eat and went to bed as we were very tired. How surprised we were the next morning to find everyone in holiday mood and that's when we discovered it was Canada Day.

What a wonderful day we had, festivities and parades and so much going on. And everyone so happy and friendly. What a welcome to a country and a brilliant start to what was a really amazing trip. 

Who gave us the badges I don't know, but it was definitely on that day. They are tiny, but will always remind us of that day. 

They are very, very shiny, so difficult to photograph.
