In dreams

One of the ways in which I know I'm tired, sometimes the first real sign, is that my brain starts making odd connections, leaping from one thought to another with what amounts to the logic of dreams. If it happens when I'm motorway driving, I'll stop at the next services for a coffee and, if there's time, a nap.

It must be a testament to Dan's driving that I was relaxed enough for that phenomenon to occur during our lunchtime drive, today, when I felt a flash of sympathy for these vehicles enduring lockdown.
