Sniper in the woods
Lovely day all in all. My husband was home this morning so when he finally woke (another 3am finish last night), we had some lovely family time.
He even gave me an hour off to get my toenails painted! I'd left my phone so the beauty therapist handed me a magazine to read as she filed and polished. So I read a magazine!! Properly. From cover to cover. I would pay to go to the salon just for that alone these days. Ha ha!
Chorlton was bathed in beautiful sunshine this afternoon so after lunch Audrey and I went on our new walk for an hour. I do love it when I find a new route. This one goes all the way through Longford Park onto the edges of Stretford and back through a really peaceful cemetery, along the Mersey and the straight into Chorlton Ees nature reserve and woods.
Half way round Audrey started crying for some unknown reason so we took a pit stop on a bench at a point where five tracks meet. Every few minutes a dog walker or jogger would come into view and she was beside herself. I think for her this was possibly more exciting than anything on Cbeebies! Her little eyes would track this newcomer like a sniper. She can be so intense! Makes me laugh.
Paused for a cappuccino in a coffee shop on the way home (see pic). The sun was dipping over some buildings and giving off the most beautiful light through the window.
