Time to bring in the spring

It is definitely time to welcome any signs of spring.  February at last.. a short month but with ever increasing length to the days. I actually found some crocus up and flowering this weekend as well as all the aconites so things are on the move!!

I had an unpleasant meeting with the owner of the development next door this morning.  We tackled head on the issues bothering us and he did his best to accuse us of being difficult and complaining neighbours.... well . . I was glad of my husband and next door neighbour who came out to join the discussion and be witnesses.  The overlooking issue and the window where there was no window on the plan is hopefully sorted in that he has told us that the windows will be obscured glass and will open away from our house so the glass will add to the screening and prevent any overlooking.  (fingers crossed) With no way of knowing that (given there was no window on the planning application and also no details of the shape or workings on the council website) it is a relief to have been told but as he is in breach of planning it will have to be assessed by the council. I rest my case.. what will be will be.
