Night time
I walked out the door at 9.35pm tonight for the first time all day in an attempt to get some steps before the 10pm curfew and just get outside for some air.
Bb's mum's in hospital after a fall in the middle of the night and so our thoughts and hearts were in Scotland today. I found it difficult to concentrate on work and everything took much longer than usual. Various phone calls during the day made and received. A worry that there might be a blood clot. We ended the day more positively though when Bb was actually able to chat to his mum and she sounded happy with the care she's being given and with the room she has and the ward sister confirmed that the blood clot isn't a concern any more. However, she has nine broken ribs, is in a lot of pain and has been told she can have morphine if necessary. Hopefully this is the start of the road to recovery. It's difficult being apart at times like this.
Dinner was comfort food and much needed: crumpets with bacon and fried eggs.
