Creature of the night

The snowfall last night was heavy. Shortly after midnight when letting the dog out I saw this branch and could not get the thought of a caterpillar out of my mind. The nearby streetlight added some colour.

And after several days of seeking blips in the house there was a surfeit of options today with the snow and the sunshine and, occasionally, the blizzards.

After a walk I spent some time rolling a snowball in the garden. I’m still a kid at heart. Our son carved out a snow version of our dog. By midnight tonight it was covered in another 4 cm of snow.


Our dog really enjoyed playing in the snow. The extra shows him about to catch a ball in mid air. A fun day.
