Madness all around

The temperatures for February are unbelievable. The climate has gone mad. We are usually suffering high 30s to low 40s in February. Not that I really mind because I prefer cooler temperatures.

I have just spent some maddening time trying to connect with friends in England via Zoom. It usually works very smoothly.

The most profound experience of madness today, however, has been watching hours of the impeachment trial. It has been engrossing and compelling.The former President's behaviour, the impact of it on already mad people and on more ordinary, everyday people, is a frightening insight into madness. I fear it will only be matched by the mad behaviour of senators who judge him to be innocent.

The world has gone mad.
