Icicles

Today's the day …………………… to freeze

A very cold night - everywhere by the sound of it - although not the -23°C  experienced apparently in Braemar.

It was still cold enough in the middle of the afternoon for these icicles to remain.  They had formed where a drainage pipe from a field disgorged its water into the undergrowth before it trickled down into the river.  It was an eerie sight and had probably built up over several days.

We seem to have been in this cold spell for ages.  Let's hope temperatures warm up a bit soon ………………….
