Not Always As It Looks
Another cold day with gale force winds early on, the outdoor thermometer in a relatively shielded place in the back garden read 2*, the wind will have dropped it lower.
We sat at Pendennis Point pre lunch, windows slightly open for air, and watched the sea. A Merlin from Culdrose flew in low and hovered in the bay tracking the small vessel bouncing around. Spectator numbers gradually increased as word of the ‘rescue’ spread. It wasn’t a rescue at all but ‘station keeping’ drills by the Merlin on the small vessel, invaluable training, especially when the helo crews need to work with the lifeboat.
A visit from the AA later in the day confirmed that Mrs S beloved T4 needs a starter motor so out to Chacewater to drop her off.
A busier day than usual.
