Early morning light

The mornings are misty here in Kerala. We went to a French owned resort perched on the side of the backwaters. I blipped a photo from here early on in our stay and never thought then that I would be posting so many mono shots in this very colourful country. Somehow the black and white seems to highlight the Chinese Fishing Nets and the fishermen in their boat. The backwaters are a very peaceful part of India. One of those 'do before you die' places to go.

We have packed up and stored away a lot of our things for our return. Fortunately a friend Arul has space for us to store everything in his office in Ernakkulam. And each year the amount gets bigger. This year it included an ironing board and a juicer!! The local women, if they iron at all do it on the floor just as they do the rolling out of the bread. And they continue to be able to bend and squat into old age. Something to be learned there.
