Steppin’ Stone

After yesterday’s house searching shenanigans, this morning brought the decision that the country house was not for us. But we also decided that we definitely needed to move.
So, in spite of the incessant rain, we decided to go for a slow walk past a bungalow nearby that we had identified as a possible candidate. Contrived to do a couple of passes but, to be honest, it left us none the wiser. Best option seemed to be to extend the walk and talk through it a bit more. By the time we were faced with the perils of the stepping stones to avoid the raging(!) torrent, we were in disagreement again as worries about stretched finances competed with desire for more space.
When we got back home, we had a very welcome cup of tea and did a bit more research online. At the end of which, we had decided not to move but to stay where we are and press on with the work we had planned to do in the first place.
So we’re staying put.
For now.....
