Change of scene

Today is our daughter and son-in-law’s tenth wedding anniversary. Under more normal circumstances we would have seen them and their children during this week. I am very aware of millions of other families being kept apart around the world because of this pandemic.

1 in 180 people in Scotland are currently infected with Covid - the lowest infection rate in the U.K.

Last night we watched live pictures of the NASA Martian landing of the Perseverance Rover. It was an incredible feat.

Sadly our recycling and landfill bins were collected at the same time this morning by the same vehicle! Making up for missed recycling collection in last week’s snow and a mockery of all our recycling efforts.

My ankle recovery continues slowly. Today’s blip was taken from the car on a short local trip. It was good to be out of the house!
