for a Brew
We have been enjoying a lovely spell of weather and my thoughts have started to turn towards the brewing season. The rhubarb will soon be with us!
So in order to get warmed up it was time to think of brewing mead. Yes, I know it all looks rather turgid and foreboding but just wait until it is finished! This is called sack mead (a very ancient expression) and it is slightly sweetened by the temporary inclusion of floating sultanas.
