Miniatures in colour

I know this is MonoMonday but these miniature irises are blooming today and they’re lovely!

They are in two pots that our chum the Veep made for the Ards Man for Christmas. We’ve been looking around the garden and checking the clear lack of colour in borders, so making mental lists of plants to buy once we’re more firmly into warmer Spring temperatures.

We’ve also been in family consultation with our daughters this morning regarding No1 Peanut’s wedding date. She is putting the May date (which had originally been the April date) back a few weeks into June, just to be sure that we are less likely to be derailed by restrictions not actually being relaxed for May 17th in England. Younger daughter is back to work in June after a year-long maternity leave and so isn’t so flexible with dates for travelling, but will work something out.

Poor Peanut, this has all been very stressful for her and her fiancé, the BFG (he’s very tall). I’m trusting that this will turn out to be the perfect date for the happiest wedding!
