That Old Red Truck
We were up early, packed the car and headed off the ridge by 8:50 am. My brother-in-law was re-winterizing the water pipes as we left. As usual, hubby found a new “scenic” route to take. We saw one vehicle for our first hour which netted only 20 miles of our trip home. Those “roads” were winding and unpaved to say the least. This photo is of one of our favorite places for lunch and is almost a halfway mark. It is quaint and the food is always good. We prefer to patronize “mom and pop” restaurants when possible. We purchased some decadent cakes to thank my daughter and granddaughter for visiting our kitties. As we left, my sister and brother-in-law were pulling in for their first visit. They found the experience as nice as we advertised. I’d been up during the night so I slept a lot of the drive but it was uneventful. I made several doctor appointments and had a telemedicine visit with my allergy/asthma doctor. Technology rocks sometimes. The folks administering the vaccine program assured me it would be ok to get the second vaccine tomorrow even with these weird BP spikes at night. (I am uploading my blip right after one because I was too tired earlier.) We pulled in our driveway at 5:31 pm. My youngest grandson brought us dinners his mom had prepared and cleaned the kitties’ mess while we unpacked everything. We compensated his efforts of course. Our kitties were so glad to see us. Give your pets extra attention if they need it. You will actually be the rewardee. Thanks for visiting.
