These are the Days of Our Lives....

Oh the excitement.....

We parked the car in the visitors car park, and ran for the bus. It was so long since I travelled on a Lothians' Bus, so we sat right up the front, to watch the city approach.

We travelled in through familiar territory to me - I used to travel on the 44 from the High Street, to Sighthill, and it was amazing watching it all come back to me - yet all be different at the same time.

We checked into our hotel, and heading into town. I wanted desperately to see Rodin's The Kiss which was on loan from the Tate. We ran thru the front galleries, completely unfussed by the exhibitions which are on in there. Seriously. There was a skip for sale at £5,000.

Nipped out the back door....and ran in to the rear gallery, and there it was in all it's marble glory. It was as lovely as I imagined it to be. Toolibelle was horrified, "the kiss, why didn't they just call it intercourse".

Then it was down the road to the Grosvenor Pub for lunch/dinner... and a pint or two or three.

That was followed by a stroll to the Grassmarket, for another few, where we were fortunate to come across a reunion of a 80's Band, who apparently were quite famous back in the day... could we get rid of??? No we couldn't.

Suffice to say, Himself and I were out the game by 11, and Tooliebelle jumped a taxi, headed to her mates and started all over again!
