I write a lot about Xander and the challenges he faces as I want people to be aware of hidden disabilities and have more of a understanding of autism.

Most people see Xander as being this happy, confident, polite and kind boy. Which I guess is great. But he mask's everything so well. This morning was a complete struggle to get him organised and out the door . His anxiety about school kind of cripples him and it results in huge meltdowns. He's like a duck that looks so calm on top of the water andbis paddling like mad underneath. I ended up in the car with him this morning, in my jammies, no socks or shoes on. He has real anxiety about school but gets on amazing when he's there. And today he came home with two certificate's. He makes me so proud.

Harp had a fantastic time this morning socialising with other children her age. They played so well together, and that for me was just great to see. And I got to have adult conversation. And a costa. What could be better than that.

It's been a good afternoon with them all. They've had fun in the garden together.

Thanks for all your comments and star's on yesterday's blip.
