A new hobby .

9654 steps today ,5.4 km . My daily average is improving , helped in part by finishing off this first round of leafleting .
As I arrived home Dave was on the phone to one of the ward residents that I had just delivered to which made it feel worthwhile . They have a problem which they have dave can help them with .

I have a new hobby , posting parcels . I have become a regular visitor to the post office and whereas at first I was served without a smile I now receive both a smile and a greeting .
It could be quite addictive, clearing the house, one parcel at a time !

I decided to take a stroll into the unknown today and follow a lane that we often drive past which runs alongside the golf course at Pleasington [ which I have mentioned before ]
The lane turned into a private road ,but undeterred , I continued walking and was rewarded with some stunning and unfamiliar views of the countryside that surrounds Blackburn , Sweeping vistas to both the north and south , blue skies, bright sunshine and in the distance the fells of the Forest of Bowland .
It was soooooo good to walk somewhere completely new but within our local area.

Now to tidy up , hoover up the dog hairs and get the toys out as tomorrow is an LBB day , and we shall have a chippy lunch [ possibly in the garden if the high pressure lasts ]
