Splayed II

Sometimes the mind is primed to see things, so it was no surprise this image turned up after yesterday's post. I've often heard it's good to work on a series or project, but I haven't devoted much time to thinking about that approach - perhaps I should?

I think the other striking thing is the contrast, a light subject in a dark surrounding, it's bound to have more impact. I also liked that the log divides the reeds from their reflections, making it more interesting and less of a typical mirror image.

My only concern is the right hand side is a bit too straight and consequently not so engaging.
