Completion Day

Firstly, W would like to thank everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes yesterday; she really appreciated them!

Today we completed the purchase of our new house!  We finally got the word at about 2.30pm that everything had gone through and went down to collect the keys and a nice bottle of champagne provided by the builders.  We aren’t actually moving in until early May as we have a carpenter building a couple of things for us but we will, I am sure, be spending a lot of time there.  We took a few things down and did a bit of measuring up to decide where things will go and as it is a three storey house and we were up and down the stairs we both felt quite tired by the time we left just after 6pm.  We are really pleased with the house and now can’t wait to move in!

I took this photo out of one of the front windows.  The builders will have finished the development by October/November this year so until then they are using this area as their ‘compound’.  After that, this area will be landscaped so all this will be grass and small trees, with the mature trees in the background.
