I'm fairly sure that these are the female catkins of the Goat Willow, but if anyone knows better, please let me know.

It was supermarket shopping day today - I left it until mid-afternoon and my visit was stress free. The town seemed quite quiet and so was the supermarket. Not like in London where Sarah said that the parks were busy and all the talk was of picnics and barbecues, as warm weather is coming and more people are allowed to meet outside.

We have been watching the progress of the Ever Given and wondering what it says about our consumerist society, and the implications for the environment. It has been a chance for some inventiveness, though - one person made a website called Is The Ship Still Stuck? and another created an app which allows you to place the Ever Given anywhere in the world. There was no shortage of memes and jokes about it, either.
