Horse Chestnut

The Horse Chestnut is always the first large tree to come into leaf.  It's surrounded by Beech and Oak that deprive it of most light once they come into leaf.  So it gets in first, and will probably have candles very soon too.

The extra is the nearest I could get to the Brimstone butterflies that were fluttering round the primroses on the lawn in the warm sunshine today.  They are well camouflaged once they land.
