Surgery

I was fasted from midnight for surgery in the morning. I was lucky to be first on the list so was taken to theatre by 9am. I shared the message on the sweet card Pat gave me with the staff . It was appreciated and brought smiles behind the masks.
I was in theatre for around 3 1/2 hours , having a discectomy on the same sight as last year.
My pain has been well managed with a fentanyl PCA and Ketamine .
I don’t remember much of the afternoon apart from being woken up for neurological observations regularly. My blood pressure has continued to be low.
My anaesthetist came up to check on me , a lovely chap .... all the staff have been kind and helpful.
I’ll be glad when the next few days are over.
