Put a Little Spring in Your Step

The weather was simply gorgeous today. Hubby came to help again but Chris was called to the parish rectory before lunch to find a potential leak. Work stopped until tomorrow. “The boyfriend” came over for the day; he goes back to NC at the end of the week so he’ll visit on Friday as well. Public school students are divided into two groups of “in school days”: Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday. They are basically free on their off days and Friday. But Sky has play practice every day, just no bus service on Monday/Wednesday. Who is silly enough to think they are being fully educated? I went home to plant the lettuce my sister gave me for Easter. Yay! I have started my garden. See bottom photos. While there, I took a trip around the property. My photos provide a look at only some of the beauty I found. The camellia behind the house (top left) is in full bloom. Our tulips (top rt) are wide open and my weeping cherry (middle rt) was almost past prime. What a difference a week makes. Not long after I returned, it was time to take Skylar to theater practice. Now it’s time to make her a salad, pick her up for work until 9:00. This kid needs a personal assistant and hopefully my daughter’s goal of keeping her busy to keep her safe will work. We’re having BBQ pork sandwiches and slaw for dinner. I’ll finish the slaw after Sky is dropped off. Then it’s feet up for me, till the restaurant closes when I’ll grab the kid from work. This is my life till my daughter can drive again, then I’ll simply be on stand-by. Do your best by your kids and hopefully all your efforts will pay off. Thanks for stopping by.
