We Can Work it Out

Three months ago my personal trainer was kind enough to lend me these dumbbells along with a suggested workout schedule I could do at home whilst we waited for lockdown to end and for gyms to reopen.
I started with two, one hour, sessions a week but after the first month it was obvious lockdown would not end anytime soon, so I added a few more exercises and upped the schedule to three, 45 minute, sessions a week.
Today was the last of those sessions. The gym reopens on Monday, and my next scheduled workout would have been on Tuesday, so I can now return these borrowed weights - with many thanks - and once again get to grips with the more challenging equipment in the gym.
Has it been worthwhile? Yes. I am doing more reps now than when I started and I am definitely ready to increase the weight for some of the exercises. Add in the fact that I have been running regularly as well, and I think I can safely say that I have kept up my fitness levels as best I can given the restrictions of lockdown, dodgy weather and limited equipment.
The proof of the pudding will be finding out what I can manage to lift when I get back to the gym. The last time I was there, at the beginning of November, I had just managed to press the 32kg dumbbells. Not entirely certain I could even lift them off the rack now!
