Wildlife Pile

It's interesting that many of the local farmers are leaving these piles and other dead wood around the area.  I'm assuming it is to encourage more diversity in the wildlife, rather than laziness on their part.

It was a typical day, supermarket shopping first up, then I joined L up at the stables to cross her over the road.  We were also joined by my cousin who came up to collect some (well-rotted) horse manure for their new garden.  It rained on and off in the afternoon, the first time for a while.  Paths have dried out and it certainly feels like we are transitioning out of winter at a good pace; it just needs to warm up a bit!
