Tulips

L3 Day 113. A quick visit to Hampton court for the tulip festival. Many tulips are already out and still more later varieties just in bud. A whole variety of displays, some whole beds of tulips, some mixed with other spring flowers as in the privy garden and some in pots. The extra is the inner courtyard where you can really see the effect of the sun...on the sunny side the tulips are out more. The display outside the Orangery is lovely. Lots of big planters in the main courtyards with the varieties of tulips in them being named. I think this is different to previous years, many more tulips planted.
Lockdown easing tomorrow: shops opening, outdoor eating in pubs and cafes plus self- catering accommodation.
