Dazzle

Today it snowed for most of the day, but towards late afternoon the sun made an appearance, although clouds still filled the sky. Bouncing off the lake, bright light shimmered as ripples disturbed the surface. This group of reeds, backlit, stood to attention, defiant in the breeze, as a blackbird darted about, issuing a warning of my approach.

I liked the strong verticals in the image, at odds with the softer ripples running counter to them and the white circles of bokeh balls.
