Abstracting The Shadow

Today's weather was just glorious. Me and my brother went for an early morning run (well, just before 7 am if that counts as early) along the riverbank at Aylesford and back home. It was still quite cold but the light was just lovely. I much prefer a run in the cold to the heat - it just seems to heighten the senses.
As my brother had managed to get another day off work I booked a table at the outside terrace of our local pub, The Chequers, for lunch as a treat - he has been working so hard through three separate lockdowns and still commuting to and from London every weekday so he thoroughly deserves it.
Once it got to lunchtime the temperature had climbed considerably and it actually felt like the height of summer by the time we sat down to eat. We both opted for toad in the hole and a couple of pints each. The food was delicious and the pints slipped down all too easily!
We then took a walk out to The Friars, our local Carmelite Priory, to walk off all the food and alcohol which is where I took today's image. With all that history, the Priory originally dates back to the 13th Century, I decided to take an image of the shadows cast against a mesh screen shielding building work being carried out in one of the cloisters!
