Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A new favourite treat!

Assorted fitness exercises this morning, some putting in more effort than others.

Once Archie had gone off with Elizabeth (after sulking because we put his halter on instead of his collar) we walked into town. JR had an item to pick up at M&S, ordered yesterday.

This lovely lady was playing her horizontal harp under the blossom, which was a nice diversion. I think she might have been a wee bit cold.

Walked down sunny Cockburn Street again, same way as yesterday, and oh look! There’s a seat in the Milkman! So we popped in, and had a coffee and a ‘criffin’, which is a most delicious combination of croissant and muffin, with possibly a hint of doughnut... Epic!

We popped in to a few shops, and actually got a super present for Christine’s birthday this week (she doesn’t read this, so it’ll still be a surprise.)

I then sat in the sun in the Gardens while JR picked up her parcel. So many people out and about! By this time, the sun was out and it was most pleasant.

We both got the bus home, unusually for JR, who likes to keep her steps up every day (but she did do TWO fitness sessions this morning). We’re going across to Hazel’s this evening when Archie comes home. It could be a late night, so I’ll post now...

I wonder what delicious nibbles there will be tonight...
