Life In Wales

Family Visit

Here in Wales the lockdown rules have been eased further today, allowing one other household to visit indoors, so this afternoon Rach, Scott and the girls came to see our new home.

Alan and I spent the morning as usual - emptying boxes and building the new Ikea furniture, and this afternoon Scott helped Alan finish building the guest bed and the girls' beds which was a big help, while I managed to get the afternoon off to spend with my girls.  The weather was atrocious though, with torrential rain and strong winds so there wasn't much we could do, however, it suddenly cleared by about 4pm so we nipped down to the beach before picking up an Indian takeaway.

The Indian was a good choice - it's always difficult when you're new to an area, but we passed this place in Rhos-on-Sea on Saturday and it had a hygiene rating sign in the window and had scored 5, so I thought it would be a good option.  Everyone enjoyed the food, so I guess we'll be going there again.

Rach had brought the girls' PJ's and toothbrushes, so got them ready for bed before leaving, however, both girls got upset as they wanted to stay here, bless them.  They really like their new room and beds, so I will endeavour to have it all ready for them for when they come to stay in the school holidays at the end of the month.
