Life
I received some devastating news this morning.
The lady who has been covering for me at one of my practices has fallen down the stairs at home, breaking her neck in the process. She was found dead, on her birthday, aged 59.
To say I’m in shock is an understatement; I can’t stop crying, partly because I think it’s hit me just how lucky I was with my fall.
Evidently, only last week, she had been singing my praises, saying how covering for me had been a huge help for her financially. She was saving the extra money to go and visit her son in Australia. Due to the pandemic, she’d not seen him for a while so she would have been so looking forward to that. It must be hard for him too, being so far away at a time like this.
I don’t want to dwell on it too much, but suffice to say, embrace life & embrace the ones you love as you never know what tomorrow will bring.
In an otherwise dark day, we’ve had a little bit of joy; our great tit chicks have hatched! It’s so lovely so see their little beaks popping up for food. I’ve counted 5 of them.
It will be nice to watch them grow and fledge; I’ll be sure to keep you all posted :-)
