El Camino
Alice B. & I has a morning walk along a stretch that we call El Camino. It's a road leading from Adel Kennels ( Location of The Syndicate) to a Yorkshire Water Depot related to Eccup Reservoir. I like it because it gently undulates, and turns corners giving changing views of hedges, fields, the reservoir, and on a clear day The North Yorkshire Moors. It's a there & back walk of approx. two and a half miles (55 mins). Frequented mainly by walkers (Emmerdale Village is nearby), Cyclists and Dogs attached to Humans.
This lone Tree is a landmark, it is stark, bare and alone.
The weather was good, sunshine with a breeze, clouds building all the time. You'd think it were April!
A few more steps gained food shopping. Transferred plant trays from rain filled outdoors into the Greenhouse to dry off.
Registered with our local swimming baths so that I can book a swimming slot 9 days in advance. Not up to Lane swimming at present but will enjoy exercising my knees in water.
The sun disappeared, the air cooled and heavy, heavy showers fell.
Enjoyed Motherland, Inside Number 9, and I am gripped by Mare of Easttown. It is a mix of Happy Valley & The Missing. Kate Winslett is good as Mare, it's funny and sad. And it leaves you hanging....
