Birthday BBQ Bonanza

A very very wet day today, bit of a shame for Ed. 
He really fancied an apple pie (something his Mom used to make) so we whipped one up this afternoon - can't even remember when I last made a proper apple pie! Late afternoon we headed to Jud and Stephen's for a BBQ to celebrate Stephen's birthday. So lovely to have time together - Danny made the hugest pass the parcel any of us had ever seen. It caused much hilarity!
We got home with incredibly tired children and then spent the evening talking  whilst nursing mint teas.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Patient kids.
2) Stephen - he's such a wonderful guy.
3) Time with Ed.
